Parc Ivoloina is a recreational and educational zoological park home to lemurs, reptiles, amphibians, and other native Malagasy species near the city of Toamasina in eastern part of Madagascar. Here you can explore the wildlife exhibits, orchards, an education center, model agricultural station, historic ruins, and nine kilometers of hiking trails.
You will be picked up at the port at around 8 AM depending on your availability we will meet you at the port when you are ready enough we will start driving to Ivoloina along the RN5 which is located 12 km in the north of Tamatave / Toamasina, the road is devided 08 km pavement and 04 km offroad. On the way you will enjoy discovering great landscapes, villages, traditional houses of Betsimisaraka tribe which are built with travele’s palms ( Ravenala madagascariensis ) and nice river and bambo trues as well as people harvesting river sand with their canoes by the river side.When we get to the park of Ivoloina, we will have to start visiting the park to take advantage when the lemurs are still very active moving left and right feeding themselves. And after visiting the lemurs, tortoies, chameleons, snakes and diffrent species of plants we will move further to see wild ducks and walk in the forest of traveler’s palms ( Ravinala madagascariensis ) looking for different species of birds, this walk will be ended to a really nice waterfall where you can swim and take nice photos. After the waterfall we will walk back to the park entrance passing through the park again and the dirrection is to visit the Environmental Education Center to learn about the state of our biodiversity. When we are done with park and you are 100 percent satisfied we will drive back the city for lunc. After We will visit the city to learn about the history of the city and its culture at the end of the visit we we take you the craft market at Bazary Be to buy some souvenirs before transfering you to the port.
